Hipotekarna Bank donated books to institutions in nine Montenegrin municipalities!

To remain indifferent to books means to carelessly impoverish your life  – Ivo Andrić

Hipotekarna Bank donated 9 sets, 25 books each, to educational institutions and libraries across Montenegro. The book funds of “Panto Malisic” high school in Berane and “Petar I Petrovic Njegos” high school in Danilovgrad, Faculty of Humanities in Niksic, high vocational school in Bijelo Polje, school centre “Bratstvo i jedinstvo” in Ulcinj, town libraries in Kotor, Herceg Novi, and Bar, and the National Library “Njegos” in Cetinje will be enriched by the valuable literary works from CID publishing company of Podgorica.

With this donation, Hipotekarna Bank wishes to enrich the book fund in libraries and schools and join in with the efforts taken by these institutions to provoke interest in reading among youth. Reading is among the most positive habits. It broadens the mind and the world, gives us information, drills our memory, builds our self-confidence. Opening the door for us to the world and other cultures and languages, it makes us cosmopolites, citizens of the world, actors and participants in cultures that are different from ours.

Did you know that the biggest library in the world is the US Library of Congress in Washington, with thirty million books in almost five hundred languages and over fifty-eight million manuscripts.
